Workload fault-tolerance requirements place specific technical requirements on the virtualization host server, storage, and network infrastructure.

Select the most appropriate fault-tolerance approach for each workload that will be virtualized. The technical approach can vary based on the details of the underlying operating system and applications that will run in the virtualized environment.

There are three options:

Network Load Balancing
Application-Specific Clustering
Host Clustering
