Microsoft^® Windows Server^® 2008 R2 Hyper-V offers the advantage of being a hypervisor-based solution. The thin hypervisor implementation dramatically reduces the overhead of virtualization. Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V is available as part of the Windows Server 2008 R2 platform. It requires hardware-assisted virtualization (Intel VT or AMD-V).
